Plan Lab Event
We’ve been building accessible homes for some years and we always strive to share our house plans, engage with tenants, ask for feedback and promote tenancy opportunities. In May 2021 we took this to the next level, hosting guests at Plan Lab, an extraordinary venue where people can move through a life-sized floorplan.
Our guests were able to experience the size, dimensions and flow of the six new accessible homes we are developing at Aldinga. Plan Lab even supplied pieces of furniture to aide in the visualisation.
Access 2 Place CEO Trent Lines addressed the guests, and photos of the event appeared in InDaily.
We’re working with building company Creative Structures on these modern two and three-bedroom homes, which will be available for eligible tenants to rent. When complete, the houses will be Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) registered Fully Accessible standard. Applicants are preferred to have, or be eligible for, SDA funding, and we expect to prioritise people who need wheelchair accessible housing.
The homes will feature open plan living, spacious kitchen with height-adjustable bench tops, and fully enclosed rear courtyard with access to a carport.
We expect these homes to be available in October, and we’re seeking expressions of interest now.
