We’re Hiring – Non-Executive Director
About the Opportunity
We are seeking to appoint an independent paid Non-Executive Director to fill a vacancy on our board. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about delivering innovative, secure, choice-based, and affordable housing for people living with disability and mental health conditions.
Directors serve a three-year term, with the opportunity to serve a maximum of nine years (three consecutive terms). Our board meetings are held monthly on the fourth Wednesday, either in person or via videoconference. There may also be additional strategic planning days, and board members have the opportunity to contribute to one of our two board sub-committees: the Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee or the Property and Development Committee.
Key Responsibilities
As a Director with Access 2 Place, you will:
- Provide strategic oversight and contribute to the decision-making process
- Monitor the company’s financial position, ensuring effective risk management and compliance with relevant laws and guidelines
- Help shape our values, culture, and strategy
- Ensure compliance with NDIS, charity, and community housing regulations
- Act as a culture custodian, promoting and upholding the values of Access 2 Place
Key Skills and Experience
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in providing services to individuals with complex needs such as disability, mental health conditions, and homelessness. Lived experience of disability or board governance skills are highly regarded.
