A2P’s journey into 2024 and beyond

As we step into 2024, it’s a fitting moment to look back at the incredible strides we’ve made at Access 2 Place Housing (A2P), and to look forward with excitement to what this year holds.

We are immensely grateful to our Board and our dedicated Management team whose steadfast commitment to A2P’s mission has been instrumental in our journey. A warm welcome again to Nicole Willing and Michael Osborn MBA MAICD, who joined our Board last year, infusing new energy and perspectives that are already driving our vision forward.

A highlight of the past year was appointing Emma Calabro as our General Manager of Disability Housing. Emma’s tenant-focused approach and her rich background in service delivery have been seamlessly aligning with our ongoing commitment to improving tenant wellbeing. Additionally, the creation of a Marketing and Engagement Officer role underscores our dedication to amplifying A2P’s brand awareness and engaging with the disability community.

Our 3-year Strategic Plan, initiated last year, positions A2P strategically within the sector, emphasizing our dedication to tenant wellbeing, innovative housing solutions, and meaningful partnership engagement. Thanks to capital funding from the NDIS, we’ve begun addressing the critical demand for SDA Robust housing, opening new avenues to leverage our resources and expertise.

The Social Housing Accelerator Program and Housing Australia Future Fund have been vital in underlining the State and Federal governments’ commitment to growth. As we approach our 10th anniversary in March, we are not just celebrating a decade of service but are also looking ahead to a year of substantial growth. A2P is poised to expand our reach, providing an even greater number of homes to communities in need.

Together, let’s embrace 2024 with the same passion and determination that have marked our journey so far. We are excited about the future and remain committed to making a lasting impact on the lives of those we serve.
