Australia Day Luncheon
We are happy to announce the Australia Day Luncheon has been rescheduled to Wednesday 19 October 2022.
We’re excited to announce that A2P is an Official Partner of Dylan Alcott’s visit to Adelaide October, organised by the Australia Day Council of South Australia!
The Australia Day Luncheon will feature Dylan as keynote speaker, plus a panel discussion with 2022 SA Australian of the Year recipients: Professor Helen Marshall AM, Mark Le Messurier, Dr Trudy Lin and Monique Bareham.
Here at A2P, we’re big admirers of Dylan Alcott AM. For many years, he’s been one of Australia’s sporting heroes and also one of its most engaging speakers and educators. We appreciate his perspective on living with disability and his candour in sharing his stories, including the challenges he faced as a young person. We were delighted when he was named Australian of the Year.
Earlier this year, we shared Dylan’s Australia Day speech, agreeing with so many of his statements such as:
“We’ve got to fund the NDIS, first and foremost, and listen to people with lived experience and ask them what they need so they can get out and start living the lives they want to live and remind ourselves that it is an investment in people with disabilities”
We’re looking forward to this lunch, where we can hear more from Dylan and the other speakers.
